What's it all about?

Should? is an examination of the gap between what we think we should do, and what we actually do.  This gap can cause guilt, stress and a nagging sense of something undone, so why do we allow the gap to develop?

The conflict between logic and emotion
The conflict between ethical behaviour and hedonistic urges
The conflict between personal ideology / beliefs and social pressures

This project is my attempt to narrow my 'should' gap, by recognising the things which don't matter (no-one but me gives a toss whether or not I clean the inside of my kitchen cupboards), or which I can do nothing practical to solve (whatever I do, I will continue to get older), and by taking action to fulfil the remaining 'shoulds' where I feel I can.

I would like to encourage participation - to let people decide their own personal 'shoulds', and make their own decisions about what they want to take action on, depending on their circumstances.  This is not a project about telling people what to do, but about each of us doing what we choose to do.
